ATTENTION GARWOOD RESIDENTS:
Bulk Garbage pick up for the remainder of 2010 for both sides of town has been eliminated due to budget cuts in local State aid as directed by Governor Christie. The bulk pick ups that were scheduled for June 25 & September 24 (North Side), and July 29 & October 28 (South Side), are canceled. On the dates listed above, you can put out regular household trash for pick up instead of bulk as these dates are now considered regular trash pick up days.
WHITE GOODS PICK UP-HAS NOT CHANGED
Appliances including washing machines, dryers, hot water heaters, stoves, ovens, refrigerators, air conditioners, and water softeners are picked-up by appointment only. Do not place white goods at the curbside until an appointment has been made for pick up. A record of these items will be kept by DATE, ITEM, RESIDENT, and ADDRESS. Only one type of each of the above-mentioned appliances will be picked up per residence annually. Please call the Department of Public Works at 789-1522 to schedule an appliance pick up.
